Our founder worked directly with Jobs and instrumental in aligning NeXT’s relationship with Systemhouse, a US and Canadian Consulting firm. OSI was then retained to identify senior technology luminaries to implement their new platform at key clients. NeXT was a revolutionary upgrade that used object-oriented programming, “Objective C”, “OpenStep” and “Nextstep”operating systems. These new advances were the first of its’ kind and represented a quantum leap in the way programmers coded as well as how information was distributed. As NeXT prepared to launch their product in the mid-90’s our leader met Jobs in the UK and lent a hand in assisting their marketing effort. Ross Perot invested 20 million and in 1993 went to market. Jobs soon returned to Apple with a sweetheart deal that included $429 million in cash plus 1.5 million shares of Apple stock to buy NeXT This architecture became the foundation for all future Mac products that went to market.
